01Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Huntigo ("Huntigo", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our services. It applies to the Huntigo website at huntigo.net, the Huntigo web application at app.huntigo.net, the Huntigo Chrome extension, and related support and communications (together, the "Service").

Huntigo helps administrators and moderators of Facebook groups capture, organize and follow up with the people who request to join their groups. Because of this, the Service handles two kinds of personal information: information about you as a Huntigo visitor or customer, and lead information that you capture and manage about other people through the Service. This policy explains how we handle both.

If you have questions about this policy or how we handle personal information, contact us at support@huntigo.net.

02Information we collect

Account information

When you register for and use a Huntigo account, we collect the information needed to create and run it, such as your name, email address, login credentials or authentication identifiers, and any business details you choose to add to your account.

Subscription and billing information

When you purchase a subscription, we keep records of your plan, billing interval, discount codes applied, transaction identifiers, payment status and billing history. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor, which collects and handles your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy and shares transaction information with us.

Information you send us

When you use the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, company (if you provide it), the subject you select and your message. We also collect anything else you choose to share when you email us, request support or send feedback.

Lead information you manage

When you use Huntigo with Facebook groups you administer or moderate, the Service processes information about people who request to join those groups, on your instructions. Depending on how you use Huntigo, this can include:

  • The profile information Facebook makes available to group admins when someone requests to join, such as their name and profile details.
  • Their answers to your group membership questions, which may include contact details such as an email address or phone number if you ask for them.
  • Information you add, such as tags, notes, approval or decline status, group, and capture date.
  • Campaign details you create, such as campaigns, message templates and the tags used to target them.
  • Scores or similar insights the Service generates from membership answers and profile information, where you use lead scoring features.

Technical and usage information

When you visit our website, we and our hosting and analytics providers collect limited technical information, such as pages visited, the referring page, browser type, operating system, device type and approximate location derived from your IP address. Our servers and providers also record technical logs, including IP addresses, request details and error information, so we can deliver, secure and troubleshoot the Service.

03How we collect information

  • Directly from you: when you create an account, purchase a subscription, fill in our contact form, email us or otherwise communicate with us.
  • Through your use of the Service: when you use the Chrome extension and web application to capture, tag, approve, decline, search and organize leads from groups you manage, or to set up campaigns.
  • From connected services: when you connect an integration, information flows between Huntigo and that service according to the connection and settings you choose.
  • Automatically: when you visit our website or use the Service, our hosting, analytics and logging tools collect technical and usage information as described above.
  • From service providers: for example, our payment processor tells us whether a payment succeeded.

The Huntigo Chrome extension is designed to work with the Facebook groups you manage. It is not designed to track your browsing on other websites.

04How we use information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Creating, maintaining and securing your account.
  • Providing the features you use, including capturing, tagging, organizing, scoring and syncing leads, and organizing campaigns.
  • Processing subscriptions, payments, renewals and promotions.
  • Connecting and running the integrations you enable.
  • Responding to contact form messages, support requests and feedback.
  • Monitoring reliability and performance, and diagnosing and fixing technical problems.
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, spam and unauthorized access.
  • Understanding how our website is used so we can improve the Service and user experience.
  • Sending service-related communications, such as account, security and billing notices.
  • Sending marketing communications where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent. You can opt out at any time.
  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service.

Where the law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving a secure Service, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it.

05Lead data and your responsibilities

Lead information you capture through Huntigo belongs to you. We process it on your behalf and according to your instructions, only to provide, secure and support the Service for you. For this information, you decide what is collected and how it is used, and we act as your service provider.

If you capture leads with Huntigo, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and use that information, giving any notices required (for example, explaining in your membership questions how answers will be used), and handling requests from the people concerned. If we receive a request from one of your leads, we may refer it to you.

06How we share information

We share personal information only as described below:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our website and Service. Our website is hosted on Vercel.
  • Email delivery providers that deliver messages, including contact form submissions, which are sent to our team through Resend.
  • Analytics providers that help us understand website usage, including Vercel Web Analytics.
  • Payment processors that handle subscription payments.
  • Integrations you connect, which receive the information you choose to send to them.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants and auditors, where needed.
  • Authorities or other parties where we believe disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, safety or security of Huntigo, our users or others.
  • A buyer or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Service providers may use personal information only to provide services to us. Third-party services you connect process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

07Third-party integrations

Huntigo works with Facebook groups and can connect to tools you choose to enable. Integrations currently listed on our website are Google Sheets, HubSpot, GoHighLevel, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Zapier.

  • Connecting an integration is your choice. You can disconnect it at any time.
  • When an integration is connected, Huntigo sends the lead information you configure, such as names, membership answers and tags, to that service so you can work with it there.
  • What is shared depends on the permissions you grant and the settings you choose, such as column mappings or the endpoint you specify for a webhook.
  • Once information reaches a third-party service, it is handled under that provider’s privacy policy. We do not control the privacy practices of third-party services.

Your use of Facebook and is governed by Meta’s terms and policies. Huntigo is not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc.

08Cookies and similar technologies

Our marketing website does not use advertising cookies or marketing pixels. To understand how the website is used, we use Vercel Web Analytics, which is designed to measure page views without using cookies and reports aggregated information such as pages visited, referrers, browser, device type and country.

The Huntigo web application may use essential cookies or similar browser storage needed to keep you signed in, secure your session and remember your preferences. These are necessary for the application to work.

You can control and delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service. If we introduce optional cookies, such as advertising cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

09Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires or permits. In general:

  • Account information is kept while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards to handle closure, disputes and legal obligations.
  • Lead information is kept while you use the Service, unless you delete it sooner. After your account ends, it is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.
  • Billing and transaction records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal requirements.
  • Contact form messages and support emails are kept as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of our communications.
  • Security and diagnostic logs are kept for a limited period needed to secure and troubleshoot the Service.

We recommend exporting or syncing any data you want to keep, for example to Google Sheets or your CRM, before closing your account.

10Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. These include serving our website over encrypted HTTPS connections, limiting access to personal information to people who need it, and requiring authentication to access accounts.

You can help by using a strong, unique password and keeping your devices and browser secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us at support@huntigo.net right away.

No internet-based service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

11International data transfers

Huntigo uses service providers that operate internationally. Our hosting, email delivery and analytics providers, as well as integrations you connect, may process personal information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.

Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as contractual protections offered by our providers. You can contact us at support@huntigo.net for more information about the safeguards that apply.

12Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information, subject to legal exceptions:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Receive a copy of certain information in a portable format.
  • Object to or ask us to restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting earlier processing.
  • Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email support@huntigo.net from the address linked to your account where possible. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond as required by applicable law. You can also update much of your account information and delete leads directly in the Service.

If you are a lead whose information was captured by a Huntigo customer, please contact the group admin who collected it first, as they control that information. We will help them respond where appropriate.

13Children’s privacy

Huntigo is a business tool for Facebook group admins and moderators. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our website or for Huntigo accounts. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at support@huntigo.net and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable notice, such as by email or in the application.
